Covenant Hosts Quarterback Sack Party

On Tuesday, June 25th Covenant Children's Hospital was happy to host the Texas Tech football team at a pediatric party to kick off this year's Quarterback SACK fundraiser. The Quarterback SACK program is a partnership between the Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Texas Tech football program. SACK, which stands for Support and Comfort Kids, is a fundraiser driven by the success of the Red Raider defense and the generosity of their fans. Donors pledge different amounts to be given for each quarterback sack Tech gets during the season. The donations help kids and families in our Lubbock and West Texas Region.

At the kickoff party, both players and coaches came to celebrate the wonderful program with the children at Covenant Children's Hospital. Kids got to meet the players and some even tried on the uniforms and pads. Others were given gifts or signatures from different players and coaches. The smiles that covered the children's faces could brighten any dark room.
