Covenant Children’s has three playrooms available to patients and
their families – Lindsay’s Playroom, Teen Town, and Timmy’s
Room. Contact the Child Life team for more information on the playrooms.
Located directly across from the nurse’s station on the general pediatric
unit (third floor), Lindsay’s playroom offers a safe haven of toys
and other interactive fun for younger children to play, explore, and relax.
Patients and their siblings are welcome but must be accompanied by an
adult at all times.
Located on the ground floor next to the cafeteria, Timmy’s playroom
offers video games, toys, and activities for school-aged children. Timmy’s
playroom is open for patients and their siblings on an as-need basis.
Please ask your child life specialist or the child life activities aide
if you are interested in visiting this therapeutic play space.
Located on the 1st floor directly across from the North elevators, Teen Town is a space ideal
for school-aged children through teens to engage in recreational activities
away from their hospital room. Teen town offers video games, game tables
like pool and foosball, a photo booth, board games, and a variety of arts
and crafts. Teen town is open Monday through Friday from 10:00am –
12:00pm and 2:00pm – 4:00pm. Sometimes evening hours are available.
On weekends, the child life activities aide will notify your nurse when
Teen Town is open.
