Neurology and Sleep Center
Covenant Children's Sleep and Neurology Center is home to a six-bed
sleep lab where Dr. Dihenia’s team is able to perform Sleep Studies
to ensure proper diagnosis of various sleep disorders.
Disorders we treat include:
- Sleep apnea
- Insomnia
- Narcolepsy
Our staff of specialized technologists, sleep disorder specialists and
professionals from pulmonary medicine and neurology work together to evaluate
symptoms, diagnose conditions and provide treatment options.
The evaluation process generally begins with a sleep test that uses painless,
non-invasive monitoring systems to record sleep patterns, breathing, heart
activity and muscle movements. Afterwards, our specialists review the
results of the study and recommend the most effective treatment. Some
conditions may require medication, while others simply call for a change
in daily habits.
Your doctor may also refer you to the Covenant Children's Neurology
Center for a test called a nerve conduction study. It’s often used
to determine if your condition involves the nerves, muscles, spinal cord
or brain. In addition to helping detect the cause of numbness, tingling
or pain, a nerve conduction study can help diagnose nerve disorders including
carpal tunnel syndrome and pinched nerves.
The Covenant Children's Neurology Center is located at 3815 23rd St
