Covenant Children’s Mission
The mission of Covenant Children’s is to extend Christian ministry
by caring for the whole person – body, mind and spirit – and
by working with others to improve health and quality of life in our communities.
We believe that every interaction—whether it involves Covenant staff,
our patients or their families—is a sacred encounter. We believe
that the communities we serve should the healthiest possible, and we are
committed doing all we can to realize that goal.
Covenant Children’s History
Covenant Children’s is part of Covenant Health, which has served
West Texas and eastern New Mexico for nearly 100 years. We are also the
only licensed freestanding children's hospital in Lubbock and the
Covenant Children’s has evolved and grown over the years. The facility
that began as St. Mary’s Hospital was later renamed Covenant Medical
Center – Lakeside, and now operates as Covenant Children’s Hospital.
We've grown from a 73 bed facility to having 275 licensed beds as of
2018. Our team of talented caregivers have made Covenant Children’s
the top pediatric medical facility in the region.
Patients & Family Advisory Council
Our Patient and Family Advisory Council is made up of former patients,
their family members, and staff. It exists to ensure our high-quality
care meets the specific needs of those we serve. This council meets regularly
to initiate and carry out improvements in patient care, outreach, and
other hospital functions.
Your generosity makes a huge impact in the lives of our patients and their families.
