Patient and Family Support
As a faith-based organization, we at Covenant Children's realize the importance of providing spiritual support to our patients and families while honoring a variety of religious traditions. Talking with a chaplain may be especially helpful in many situations. Chaplains are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. An all-faiths chapel is located on the first floor off the main lobby for those who seek quiet meditation and reflection. Service in the chapel is available at 4 p.m. daily.
Ronald McDonald Family Room
Covenant Children's Hospital now has a home away from home for families of hospitalized children. The Ronald McDonald Family Room provides parents a place to eat, rest, shower, or just get away from the hospital atmosphere for a little while, steps away from their child's room. It's located on the first floor, across from the gift shop.
The room features a kitchenette, wide-screen TV, floral arrangements, sleeping rooms, shower areas, and a utility room with washer and dryer. It also offers a garden area with tables, chairs and a fountain.

Teen Advisory Group
The Teen Advisory Group is a collaboration of teenagers that are patients or siblings of patients, which have had numerous inpatient or outpatient experiences at Covenant Children's and are able to offer constructive feedback regarding ways the hospital can improve the care it provides. They provide a unique perspective regarding programs and policies at Covenant Children's. In general, TAG members are 12-18 years old.
This is an opportunity for patients and siblings to voice their opinions and concerns regarding their needs, and to have an impact on the care they receive. The council has worked with many departments in the Hospital to ensure that the patient's perspective is heard throughout the institution. For more information on the teen advisory group, click here.
